 In a multi-year study conducted by AXA in 2021, the mental health of expatriates living in six popular regions around the world was carefully examined. The findings shed light on the prevalent mental health challenges faced by individuals living abroad, with anxiety emerging as the primary concern and depression ranking as the second most commonly experienced issue.


It is often easy to become captivated by the excitement of embarking on an international adventure, with the promise of new experiences and improved career prospects. However, amidst the anticipation, we may unintentionally overlook the potential stress associated with relocating to a foreign country. In fact, moving has been identified as one of the most stressful life events, as revealed by a survey conducted by HomeBay among 1,000 recently relocated Americans.
